When I first heard that Squamish, BC based Howe Sound Brewing was going to be opening a tasting room in Vancouver in the old Chambar space on Beatty St after they moved a couple doors down, I knew we were in for something good! What I didn’t know, was that along with 15 taps of Howe Sound’s great beers, Devil’s Elbow Ale & Smoke House would also be offering a killer menu of smokey awesomeness. Once the doors were open I quickly got down there to see things first hand, and get some beers and sandwiches into my mouth. Continue reading

Bunk Sandwiches: Pork Belly Cubano with Double Mountain Kolsch
A few years ago I discovered Bunk Sandwiches in Portland and it changed my life. Now I know that might sound a bit intense, but in a way it kind of did. My experience there really kick-started my decision to start this very blog and start doing my part spreading the word about the very best sandwiches (and craft beer) around. I can honestly say that since that decision was made, I have met some of the best people, had some of the best times in my life and got to do some of the coolest things too!
